MG Real Estate builds dedicated warehouse alongside E17 in Kruisem
On a strategic location along the E17 in Kruisem in East Flanders, MG Real Estate has started the construction of MG Crosswoods. The 37,000 sqm sustainable warehouse will be taken into use by a logistics company in 2023.
Timing unpredictable
The logistics site in Kruisem is located along the traffic axis between Antwerp and Kortrijk and thus offers an easy connection to North Sea Port, the port of Antwerp and France. MG Crosswoods will be a dedicated warehouse. "The tenant will be an international logistic company with Belgian roots that handles logistics for customers in the retail sector," says Ignace Tytgat, CEO of MG Real Estate.
MG Real Estate is known for building warehouses in record time. MG Crosswoods will be completed in the first half of 2023. "Due to the scarcity of raw materials, the timing has become more unpredictable," Tytgat outlines.
'War for talent'
In addition to warehouse space, MG Crosswoods will also include offices. "As with all the offices we build, we are taking it a step beyond the basic office. We provide a relaxation area for the employees and plenty of greenery in and around the office building. The days of a picnic table on the pavement are behind us. In the current 'war for talent', an attractive working environment is an important asset to attract people," says Tytgat.
