MG Edge - DHL Supply Chain
DHL Supply Chain and MG Real Estate are building a new, state-of-the-art Life Sciences and Healthcare (LSH) campus on the Laekebeek industrial estate in Lot, near Brussels. The 28,000 m² facility will replace the current DHL Supply Chain facilities in Huizingen and Lot and bring their activities together under one roof. In line with DHL's sustainability strategy, the campus will be fully carbon neutral.

About MG Edge
The new site in Lot will cover 28,000 m². In addition to more than 20 loading and unloading docks and separate docks for refrigerated pharmaceuticals, there will be sufficient storage space to support further operational growth and meet seasonal demand.
Innovative technologies
The facility fully complies with the pharmaceutical GxP quality systems and ISO standards and will be equipped with innovative and integrated automation technologies. For example, not only will the so-called 'goods-to-person' and 'pick-to-light' workstations be installed, but also high-capacity shuttle systems, automated packing systems and sorting machines, integrated weight control and many other innovative solutions. In addition, the design takes into account a closed refrigeration chain for the handling and storage of pharmaceutical products and there will be a large pharmaceutical packaging department.
100% green
MG Real Estate will not only ensure that the LSH campus will be modern and innovative, but also fully carbon neutral. It uses 100% green energy, energy-saving LED lighting and motion sensors, energy/heat recovery systems and an energy management system that reduces energy consumption. The building thus contributes to Mission 2050, DHL's sustainability strategy, which aims to achieve emission-free logistics by 2050.
Project status
